Dr. J. M. Roseberry
We cull from an obituary seen in the Plainfield Sun: Dr. J. M. Roseberry, born August 15th, 1812, in Warren county, New Jersey. He was married September 8, 1836, to Miss Caroline M. Merrill, of Philadelphia. In 1850 he came to Delavan, Wis. In 1852 he went to Alexandria, Va., and in 1854 back to Pine Grove, Portage Co., Wisconsin, where he resided till his death, on December 3d, 1888. When he came to this county he gave up the practice of medicine, and followed farming. His widow and five children remain to travel life's journey to the end, one son in Pine Grove, one daughter in Almond, Mrs. James Beggs, another daughter, Mrs. L. A. Pratt, of Lake Crystal, Minn., Mrs. W. R. Beggs of Plainfield, Waushara Co., and Mrs. Everett Beggs of Pine Grove. Mrs. J. Beggs was in Michigan at the time of the death and burial. The funeral was held from the house by Rev. E. L. Palmer of Almond, December 5th, 1888.
