Mike Helinski

Mike Helinski, 72, 825 Michigan Ave., died at 10:25 p.m. Saturday at St. Michael's Hospital. He had been a patient there since Aug. 28. He had been ill for two years.
Furneral services are scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Stanislaus' Catholic Church. The Rev. Francis Piekarski will officiate. Burial will follow in Guardian Angel Cemetery.
Friends may call after 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Dzikoski Funeral Home. A general rosary will be recited at 7:30. Mr. Helinski was a member fo the Holy Name Society f St. Stanislaus' and it will join the general rosary. The Catholic Daughters of America, Court Jerem, No. 1031, of which a daughter, Mrs. Barnaby Schultz, is a member, will recite a rosary at 8 o'clock.
Mr. Helinski was born Sept. 23, 1898 in Chicago, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Helinski.
His parents died while he was a child. He was raised by his foster parents, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Lepinski, in Stevens Point.
He married Violet Woyak on June 16, 1924, at St. Peter's Catholic Church, and they settled in Stevens Point. Mr. Helinski worked at the Schaftner Shoe Store for 18 years. He later started and operated the Point Shoe Sales and Repair, currently located on Third Street, for 35 years until his illness.
Survivors include his wife, three daughters, Mrs. Barnaby (Marie) Schultz, 717 Green Ave., Mrs. LeRoy (Margaret) Johnson, Clintonville, and Mrs. Carl (Dorothy) Brill, Oshkosh, and eight grandchildren.

He was buried on 22 September 1971 at Guardian Angel Cemetery, Stevens Point, Portage Co, WI.

     Violet Rose Woyak was born on 24 March 1900 at Plainfield, Waushara Co, WI. She was the daughter of Charles (Carl) Woyak and Helen Gierszewski. Violet Rose Woyak was baptized on 4 April 1900 at St. Paul's Catholic Church, Plainfield, Waushara Co, WI. She married Michael Helinski on 16 June 1924 at Stevens Point, Portage Co, WI. Violet Rose Woyak died on 4 September 1980 at Stevens Point, Portage Co, WI, at age 80.

Mrs. Violet Helinski

Mrs. Violet Helinski, 80, 825 Michigan Ave., died Thursday afternoon at St. Michael's Hospital after being stricken at home earlier in the day.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Stanislaus' Catholic Church. The Rev. Dennis Lynch will officiate. Burial will be in Guardian Angel Cemetery.
Friends may call now at the Shuda Funeral Chapel. St. Stanislaus' Rosary Society, of which she was a member, will combine with the general rosary at 7:30 p.m.
Mrs. Helinski was born March 24, 1900, in Plainfield, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Woyak. She attended Stevens Point schools. She married Michael Helinski on June 10, 1924, at St. Peter's Church. The couple settled at the present address. Mr. Helinski was a shoemaker and operated Point Shoe Shop for 40 years. He died in 1971.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Barnaby (Marie) Schultz, Green Bay, Mrs. Margaret Johnson, Clintonville, and Mrs. Carl (Dorothy) Brill, Green Bay; two brothers, Edmund Woyak, Plainfield, and Henry, Portage County Home; one sister, Mrs. Peter (Helen) Karashinski, 1024 6th Ave; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
One sister and two brothers preceded her in death.

She was buried on 6 September 1980 at Guardian Angel Cemetery, Stevens Point, Portage Co, WI.

Martin Schultz

     Martin Schultz was born on 11 November 1833 at Zon, Prussia, Germany. He was the son of Frank Schultz. Martin Schultz married Margaretha Banach on 4 November 1860 at Grylewo. Martin Schultz married Catherine Laskoski, daughter of Peter Laskoski and Constanncia Nowak, on 27 January 1867 at Golancz, Wagrowiec, Poznan, West Prussia. Martin Schultz died on 5 March 1927 at Town of Dewey, Portage Co, WI, at age 93.

Martin Schultz, 94 year of age last November 11 and a resident of Portage County for the past 56 years, died at his home in the town of Dewey at 9:30 o'clock this morning. The Schultz farm is located only a short distance from the Torun church.
Mr. Schultz's death is attributed largely to the infirmities incident to his age. His wife passed away 13 years ago, Leaving the husband and 10 sons and daughters. The names of the children and their present homes are: William Schultz, Menasha; John Schultz, Rhinelander; Mrs. Adam Mancheski, city; Frank Schultz, Torun; Mrs. John Ruta and Leo and Anton Schultz, city; Mrs. Anton Jaszewski, Rhinelander; Mrs. John Polubitski, city; Joseph Schultz who operates the old home farm.
The funeral will be held from St. Mary's church, Torun, at 9:30 o'clock Tuesday morning. Rev. I. Grad officiating, with interment to follow in the parish cemetery.

Interment Made by Six Sons

William, John, Joseph, Frank, Leo and Anton Schultz, sons of the late Martin Schultz, pioneer resident of the town of Dewey, served as casket bearers when his remains were laid at rest in St. Mary's cemetery Tuesday morning. Services were conducted at the parish church at 9:30 o'clock, Rev. I Grad officiating.
Relatives from a distance who attended the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. William Schultz of Neenah, Mrs. Mary Schultz of Marshfield, John Schultz and Mrs. Anton Jazdzewski of Rhinelander and Edward Schultz of Chicago.

Mrs. Catherine Schultz passed away at her home inter town of Dewey at 9 o'clock Monday morning. Gangrene, which developed in one of her feet, was the cause of death. Mrs. Schultz was sixty-seven years of age and was well known among residents of Dewey and adjoining town. The funeral will be held Wednesday morning from St. Mary's church in Dewey, Rev. Janikowski officiating.

Charles Woyak

Charles Woyak, age 69, a Pine Grove farmer, died suddenly early this morning at the Portage County Home. He had suffered a stroke five years ago from which he recovered and was able to be up and about. He entered the home in June, 1938.
Mr. Woyak was born at Polonia on November 4, 1874, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Nick Woyak. He spent his early life at Polonia where he was married 45 years ago to Helen Gierszewski. After their marriage the couple lived on a farm in the town of Deerfield, Waushara county, until seven years ago when they moved to Pine Grove.
Surviving are his wife, eight children, Henry, Robert, Ruben (sp.) and Ernest, at home, Corporal Edmund Woyak at Nashville, Tenn., Mrs. Mike Helinsky (sp.) and Mrs. Peter Karashinski of Stevens Point and Mrs. Edgar Schultz of Waupun, three sisters, Sister Mary Czeslawa of Chicago, Mrs. Teckla Richter of Milwaukee and Mrs. Frank Richter of Stevens Point, a brother, Felix Woyak of Stevens Point and eight grandchildren. A brother, Dennis Woyak of Rosholt, died a year ago.
The body is at the Boston funeral home where the rosary will be said at 8 o'clock Wednesday evening and each evening until the time of the funeral. The body may be viewed after Wednesday noon. Funeral arrangements await word from the son in service.

Funeral services for Charles Woyak of Pine Grove, who died suddenly Tuesday morning, will be held Friday morning at 9 o'clock at St. Peter's Catholic church. Burial will take place in the spring in St. Paul's Catholic cemetery at Plainfield. The body is at the Boston funeral home where the rosary will be said tonight and Thursday night at 8 o'clock.

Helen Gierszewski was baptized on 2 October 1876 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Polonia, Portage Co, WI.1 She married Charles (Carl) Woyak, son of Nick Woyak and Catherine Molski, on 18 January 1897 at Polonia, Portage Co, WI. Helen Gierszewski died on 24 August 1969 at Whiting, Portage Co, WI, at age 92.

Mrs. Helen Woyak

Funeral services for Mrs. Helen Woyak, 91, a resident of the Portage County Home, will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at St. Peter's Catholic Church. Burial will be made in the Guardian Angel Cemetery.
Mrs. Woyak died Sunday afternoon at the home where she had resided since May 1965. She had been confined to bed for the past month.
The body is at the Dzikoski Funral (sp.) Home, were(sp.) friends may call after 2 p.m. on Tuesday. A general rosary will be recited there at 7:45 Tuesday evening.
Mrs. Woyak, the former Helen Gierszewski, was born in the Town of Sharon on Sept. 27, 1877. She was married on Jan. 18, 1897, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at Polonia to Charles Woyak. They farmed for a number of years in the Town of Sharon and later in the Wautoma and Bancrot areas. Mr. Woyak died in 1942, and Mrs. Woyak moved a short time later to Stevens Point and had lived here since.
She is survived by two sons, Henry, also a resident of the Portage County Home, and Edmund, of Hancock; two daughters, Mrs. Mike (Viola) Helinsky (sp.) 825 Michigan Ave., and Mrs. Peter (Helen) Karashinski, 1024 Sixth Ave., and by 12 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, three sons, two daughters, two brothers and three sisters.

She was buried on 27 August 1969 at Guardian Angel Cemetery, Stevens Point, Portage Co, WI.

Nick Woyak

Nick Woyak, a resident fo Portage county more than 50 years, died Saturday at Rochester, Minn., of diabetes. He had been a patient at the Mayo hospital there for 25 days and the remains arrived in the city this morning from that city and were taken to his home in the town of Sharon.
He was 76 years of age and had lived most of the time he was a resident in this county, in the town of Sharon, with the exception of three years spent in the city prior to eight years ago.
The funeral will be held Wednesday morning at Sacred Heart church at oPlonia (sp.), with burial in the cemetery there.
Besides the widow, the following children survive; Charles, Wautoma; Dennis, city; John, Detroit; Felix, Polonia; Mrs. John Richter, Sharon; Mrs. Frank Richter, Sharon; Mrs. John Bigalke, Sharon, Sister Ceslaus, Chicago.

Former Local Resident Dies

Mrs. Catherine Woyak, widow of Nicholas Woyak and a former resident on Normal avenue, this city, passed from life at 5 o'clock Monday morning at the home of a daughter, Mrs. John Bigalke, at Polonia, town of Sharon. She was 73 years of age and had lived in Portage county since girlhood. The early part of her married life was spent on a farm in Sharon, the family later moving to Stevens Point, but after a stay of several years here they returned to Sharon, where Mr. Woyak passed away five years ago. Since late last fall the deceased had been at her daughter's.
She is survived by eight sons and daughters, Charles Woyak or Manitowoc, Dennis of Rosholt, John of Michigan, Mrs. Bigalke, Sister M. Czeslawa of Chicago, Mrs. Frank Richter, Mrs. John Richter and Felix Woyak of Sharon.
Frank and John Molski of this city are brothers of the deceased and there are two sisters, Mrs. E. Wysocki of Everett, Wash., and Mrs. Peter Green of Rhinelander.
The funeral will be held from Sacred Heart church, Polonia, at 9 o'clock Thursday morning, with interment in the adjoining cemetery.

Catherine Molski died on 29 January 1923 at Town of Sharon, Portage Co, WI, at age 67.

Frank F. Schultz

Frank F. Schultz, 85, 305 4th Ave., died Thursday afternoon at St. Michael's Hospital where he had been a patient for hte past five weeks.

He was born in Oak Harbor, Ohio, Sept. 20, 1878, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Martin Schultz. At age two, he moved with his parents to a farm in the Town of Dewey.
On May 10, 1904, he married Helen Wrycha at St. Casimir's Catholic Church in the Town of Hull.
After their marriage, they lived in Rhinelander for a period of five years. In 1909 the moved to a farm in the Town of Sharon where they lived for 35 years. Upon their retirement 19 years ago, they moved to Stevens Point.
His parents, three sisters and four brothers preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife; five sons, George, 724 Water St., Charles and Frank, Town of Dewey, Albin, Bevent, and Wallace, 305 4th Ave; four daugthers, Mrs. John (Gertrude) Suske, Rothschild, Mrs. John (Bernice) Hintz and Mrs. August (Isabelle) Hintz, Town of Bevent, and Mrs. Helen Konieczki, Chicago; 36 grandchildren and 51 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Helen Ajeski, Rhinelander.

     Walenty (Valentine) 'William' Schultz was born on 26 December 1861 at Laskownice, Grylens, West Prussia. He was the son of Martin Schultz and Margaretha Banach. Walenty (Valentine) 'William' Schultz married Sophie (Adams) Heartl, daughter of Matt Adams and Mary Eiden, on 6 January 1886 at Stevens Point, Portage Co, WI. Walenty (Valentine) 'William' Schultz died on 12 May 1930 at Neenah, Winnebago Co, WI, at age 68.

Former Resident Dies at Neenah
William Schultz, a boyhood resident of Portage county and whose wife was Miss Sophia Adams, an adopted daughter of Mrs. Mary Adams, 123 Jefferson street, died at Neenah shortly before noon on Monday as the result of a paralytic stroke which he experienced at about 9 o’clock that morning. The funeral will be held at St. Mary’s church, Menasha, at 9 a.m. Thursday, with interment in the parish cemetery. The deceased was a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters. A number of local relatives will attend the final rites.
Mr. Schultz, who was 67 years of age, was born in Germany, but came to America with his parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. Martin Schultz, when he was a child. They lived in the east for three years, then moved to the town of Dewy, this county, where the family resided until the father passed away four years ago.
Shortly after the marriage of William Schultz, 44 years ago, he and his wife located at Menasha, remaining there a relatively short time before going to Neenah, where they purchased a home at 313 Bond Street.
Mr. Schultz was employed by the Wisconsin central railroad in his young days and for a long time before his recent retirement on pension was an engineer on the Central and Soo Line. Of late he had been employed by the Menasha Woodenware company. Mrs. Schultz died a year ago last November. There are two daughters and a son in the family, and seven grandchildren. Other close relatives are five brothers and three sisters, Leo and Anton Schultz and Mrs, John Polubitski of this city, Joseph and Frank Schultz of Dewy, John Schultz and Mrs, Anton Ajski of Rhinelander, and Mrs. John Rutta of Plover.

Funeral services for the late William Schultz, who dies Monday following a stroke, will be held at 9 o’clock Thursday morning at St. Mary’s cemetery.
Surviving are three children, Edward Schultz, San Francisco, Calif., A.F. Palmer of Oakland, Calif., and Mrs. L.D. Waters of Neenah, and seven grandchildren.
The body is to be removed to Water’s home, 313 Bond street, Wednesday morning. Mr. Schultz was a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters.

Married at Antigo

Leo Schultz, senior memeber of Schultz Bros., grocers at he corner of North Second and Franklin streets, was married at Antigo last Monday morning to Miss Frances Skymczakowski, 351 Fourth avenue, this city. The bride is better recognized by the simplified spelling of her name, Simski.
They were attended ty Frank Przekurat and Miss Emma Basinski, both of whom drove to Antigo with the other couple on Sunday. Rev. Frank A. Nowak, a former Stevens Pointer, tied the nuptial knot.
Mr. and Mrs. Schultz are expected to return this afternoon or Sunday from a trip to Rhinelander, Superior and Milwaukee. They will make their home for the present with the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Mike Simski on Fourth avenue.
The groom has been engaged in business for the past three and one half years. His wife is an expert cook and had been employed at local hotels and restaurants and at River Pines sanatorium. She also spent a year at Miami, Florida.

Leo Schultz died on 29 October 1959 at Stevens Point, Portage Co, WI, at age 78.

Leo Schultz

Leo Schultz, 78, of 803 Franklin St., Died at St. Michael's Hospital at 5:10 a.m. today. He suffered a stroke while duck hunting on Oct. 1, 1958, and had been hospitalized since. A second stroke occurred Monday Night and Mr. Schultz went in a coma from which he never recovered.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 9 a.m. at St. Peter's Catholic Church and burial will be made in Guardian Angel Cemetery.
The body is at the Dzikoski Funeral Home where friends may call after 6 o'clock this evening. The Holy Name Society of St. Peter's Church and members of St. John's Court No. 1807, Catholic Order of Forsters, of which Mr. Schultz was a member, will recite the rosary tonight at 8:30. A general rosary is scheduled for Friday evening at 7:30.
Mr. Schultz was born at Torun on Feb. 18, 1881, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Martin Schultz. He attended school at Torun and many years ago worked for his brother-in-law, Adam Mancheski, in a grocery business at 418 N. 2nd. This was operates as the Schultz Bros. of 38 years until Mr. Schultz retired 28 years ago.
On Sept. 25, 1922, he married Frances Szimcokoski of the Town of Hull at St. Hyacinth's Catholic Church at Antigo. They lived for a time at 714 Franklin St. and later moved to the present address at 803 Franklin.
He is survived by his wife; a brother Frank, 305 4th Ave., and a sister, Mrs. Anton (sp.) Ajeske (sp.), Rhinelander.

Mr. Schultz's Funeral

Funeral services for Leo Schultz, 78, 803 Franklin St., were held Saturday morning at St. Peter's Catholic Church.
The Rev. S. P. Mieckowski was celebrant fo a solemn requiem high mass, with the Rev. Bernard Novak serving as deacon and the Rev. Richard Tomzyck as sub-decon.
Burial was in Guardian Angel Cemetery, with Father Mieczkowski officiating.
John Okray, Fabian Mancheski, Edmund Simcakowski, Leonard Simcakowski, Jerry Polebitski and Anton Bachinski were the pallbearers.
The parish Holy Name Society and St. John's Court No. 1807, Catholic Order of Foresters, of which Mr. Schultz was a member, were represented at the services.

Helen Schultz

F, b. 3 October 1884, d. 19 September 1965
     Helen Schultz was born on 3 October 1884 at Town of Dewey, Portage Co, WI. She was the daughter of Martin Schultz and Catherine Laskoski. Helen Schultz married Antone Ajeska on 25 October 1904 at Stevens Point, Portage Co, WI. Helen Schultz died on 19 September 1965 at Rhinelander, Oneida Co, WI, at age 80.

Mrs. H. Ajeska Dies After Extended Illness

Mrs. Antone (Helen) Ajeska, 80, 403 N. Stevens St., died Monday afternoon in St. Mary's Hospital after an extended illness. She had been a Rhinelander resident since 1903.
A native of Casimir in Portage County, she was born Oct. 3, 1884. Mrs. Ajeska was a member of St. Joseph's Church and the Royal Neighbors.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Herman (Gertrude) Weber, Richmond, Va., and Mrs. Wilfred (Bernice) Robarge, Rhinelander; two sons, Chester, San Leandro, Calif., and Arthur, Rhinelander; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Mr. Ajeska died June 30, 1960.
Requiem rites will be conducted by the Very Rev. Joseph Miller at 9 a.m. Thursday in St. Joseph's Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Friends may call at the Hildebrand Funeral Home after 3 p.m. Wednesday; rosary is scheduled at 8 p.m.

She was buried on 22 September 1965 at Rhinelander, Oneida Co, WI.

     Josephine Schultz was born on 13 March 1875 at Oak Harbor, Ottawa Co, OH. She was the daughter of Martin Schultz and Catherine Laskoski. Josephine Schultz married Adam Mancheski on 23 April 1894 at Town of Dewey, Portage Co, WI. Josephine Schultz died on 17 October 1929 at Stevens Point, Portage Co, WI, at age 54.

Mrs. Adam Mancheski

Josephine, wife of Adam Mancheski, 420 North Second street, and a resident of Stevens Point for the past 26 years, died at her home at 5:30 o'clock Thursday afternoon, aged 59 years the 19th of last March. She had been inpoor health for the past one and one-half years and underwent an operation for tumor at St. Michael's hospital last February. Early this spring she also was a patient for a time at St. Joseph's hospital, Marshfield. Recovering somewhat during the summer months, Mrs. Mancheski was able to be up and about the house until the day before her death, when she was taken with obstruction of the bowels.
Besides her husband, there are seven children, Edward Mancheski of Milwaukee, Mrs. John Koss, Gertrude, Lucille, Ben, Genevieve and Fabian, at home. She also leaves the following sisters and brothers: Mrs. John Polbecki(sp.), Mrs. John Rutta, Leo and Anton Schultz, city; William Schultz, Neenah; Mrs. Anton (sp.) Ajeski (sp.) and John Schultz of Rhinelander; Joseph Schultz, town of Dewey, and Frank Schultz, Polonia.
Funeral services will be held at St. Peter's church at 8 a.m. Monday, with burial to follow in Guardian Angel cemetery.

Mrs. Mancheski Buried Today

St. Peter's church was filled this morning with friends of the late Mrs. Adam Mancheski, the number including forty students and five Sisters from St. Joseph's academy, all going there to attend requiem mass in her honor, offered up by Rev. J. Chylinski, Rev. S. A. Elbert and a missionary priest from out of town. The remains of Mrs. Mancheski, whose former home was 420 North Second street, were then taken to Guardian Angel cemetery for interment. The casket bearers were six brothers, Leo, Anton, John, Frank, Joseph, and William Schultz. In charge of the many floral offerings were Rose Rogacewski, Minnie Mancheski, Isabelle Brill, Lulu Esker, Theresa Schultz, Clara Latecki, Tillie Derezinski and Mrs. A. Hoppa.
Relatives who came from a distance included Mr. and Mrs. Anton (sp.) Ajeska, Bernice adn Chester Ajeska, Dorothy Byrd and John Schultz and daughter, Jean, Rhinelander; William Schultz, Neenah; Mrs. Edward Mancheski, Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. John Suska, Rothschild; Mrs. William McCann, Milwaukee.

Joseph Schultz

Joseph Schultz, age 71, 707 Fifth avenue, a retired town of Dewey farmer, died this morning at 1:30 o'clock at St. Michael's hospital, following an illness of three years. He was confined to bed the past four months and entered the hospital on April 16.
Mr. Schultz came to Portage county at the age of five with his parents, the late Martin and Catherine Schultz, from Oak Harbor, Ohio, where he was born on Feb. 27, 1876 . The family located on a farm in Dewey. His marriage to Miss Lucy Richter of Dewey took place on April 25, 1904, at St. Mary's Catholic churc at Torun. The couple lived on a farm in Dewey until 1945 when they moved to Stevens Point.
Surviving are his wife, two daughters, Mrs. Edwin Derezinski, 615 Fifth avenue, and Mrs. John Jonas, 707 Fifth avenue, two sons, Edward Schultz of Milwaukee and David of Monroe, La., three brothers, Leo, Anton and Frank Schultz of Stevens Point, three sisters, Mrs. John Rutta of Whiting, Mrs. John Polebitski, 713 Norman avenue, and Mrs. Anton (sp.) Ajeska of Rhinelander, and 10 grandchildren. A son, Chester, died in infancy, and three brothers and a sister also preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 10 o'clock at St. Peter's Catholic church and burial will take place in Guardian Angel cemetery. The body is at the Crosby funeral home where it may be viewed after Thursday and Friday evenings at 7:30 o'clock.

Funeral of Mr. Schultz

Funeral services for Joseph Schultz, 707 Fifth avenue, who died last Wednesday, were held Saturday morning at 10 o'clock at St. Peter's Catholic church, where a solemn high mass was conducted. Joseph Schultz died on 30 July 1947 at Stevens Point, Portage Co, WI, at age 71.

     Pearl Schultz was born on 16 March 1888 at Town of Dewey, Portage Co, WI. She was the daughter of Martin Schultz and Catherine Laskoski. Pearl Schultz married John Polebitski, son of Michael Polebitski and Josepha Molska, in January 1908 at Stevens Point, Portage Co, WI. Pearl Schultz died on 23 November 1954 at Stevens Point, Portage Co, WI, at age 66.

Mrs. Pearl Polebitski

Mrs. Pearl Polebitski, 66, 713 College avenue, admitted to St. Michael's hospital at 6 o'clock Tuesday morning, died there at 5:30 that afternoon. She had been in good health until Tuesday.
Mrs. Polebitski was born in the town of Dewey March 16, 1888, and had lived in Portage county most of her life. She was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Martin Schultz.
As a girl, she attended St. Casimir's parochial school, town of Hull, and in January, 1908, she was married to John Polebitski at St. Peter's Catholic church here.
The couple lived in Rhinelander for a short time and then returned to Stevens Point. Mr. Polebitski, a carpenter, died Nov. 11, 1942.
Survivors include five sons, Jerome, Edwin, and Stanley, at home, Alfred, 120 Fifth avenue, and Chester, town of Hull; four grandchildren, three brothers, Frank Schultz, 305 Fourth avenue, Leo Schultz, 803 Franklin street, and Anton Schultz, 425 Franklin street, and two sisters, Mrs. Mary Rutta, Mary street and Mrs. Anton (sp.) Ajeska, Rhinelander.
Besides her husband and her parents, Mrs. Polebitski was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 8 o'clock at St. Peter's Catholic church, and burial will follow in Guardian Angel cemetery. Friends may call at the Dzikoski funeral home from Thursday evening until the day of the services.
The Rosary society of St. Peter's will say the rosary Thursday at 7:30 p.m. Rosaries will be said Friday by the Third Order of St. Francis of St. Peter's, at 3 p.m., and the Knights of Columbus, at 7 p.m. A general rosayr will follow at 7:30.
Mrs. Polebitski was a member of the Rosary society and the Third Order of St. Francis, and a son, Jerome is a member of the Knights of Columbus.

He was the son of Michael Polebitski and Josepha Molska.1 John Polebitski was baptized on 10 June 1875 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Polonia, Portage Co, WI.1 He married Pearl Schultz, daughter of Martin Schultz and Catherine Laskoski, in January 1908 at Stevens Point, Portage Co, WI. John Polebitski died on 11 November 1942 at Stevens Point, Portage Co, WI, at age 67.

John Polebitski

John Polebitski, age 67, a resident of Portage county the greater part of his life died suddenly Wednesday afternoon at 1:20 o'clock at his home at 713 Normal avenue. Although he had been ailing for three years, he was up and about part of the time and had had his noon meal Wednesday with the family.
A son of the late Michael and Josephine Polebitski, Mr. Polebitski was born on June 2, 1875, in the town of Sharon. He spent his early life in Sharon and a few years in Rhinelander. His marriage to Miss Pearl Schultz of Stevens Point took place on January 22, 1906, at St. Peter's Catholic church. The couple had since lived in Stevens Point where Mr. Polebitski followed his trade as a carpenter until his illness.
Surviving are his wife, five sons, Alfred of Stevens Point, Chester, who is attached to a signal training battalion at Camp Crowder, Missouri, Edwin and Jerome at home and Sergeant Stanley Polebitski, who is with the armed forces in Australia, and a brother, Thomas Polebitski, whose address is unknown. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Barney, Jacob, Frank and Joseph Polebitski, and two sisters, Mrs. Mary Firkus and Mrs. Peter Netzler.
Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 9 o'clock at St. Peter's church and burial will follow in Guardian Angel cemetery. The body is at the Prais funeral home where the rosary will be said tonight and Friday night at 7:30 o'clock. Mr. Polebitski's son, Chester, is enroute to Stevens Point for the funeral.

Mrs. Helen Schultz

Mrs. Helen Schultz, 77, 305 4th Ave., died Sunday morning at St. Michael's Hospital where she had been a patient the past four weeks.
The former Helen Wrycha was born in the Town of Hull, May 10, 1886, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Peter Wrycha. Eighteen years later, on her birthday in 1904, she married the late Frank F. Schultz at St. Casimir's Catholic Church in the Town of Hull.
After their marriage, they lived at Rhinelander before returning to a farm in the Town of Sharon. They farmed 35 years, until their retirement 19 years ago when they moved to Stevens Point. Mr. Schultz died Oct. 17, 1963.
Survivors include five sons, George, 724 Water St., Charles and Frank, Town of Dewey, Albin, Town of Bevent, and Wallace, at home; four daughters, Mrs. John (gertrude) Suske, Rothschild, Mrs. John (Bernice) Hintz, Town of Bevent, Mrs. August (Isabelle) Hintz, 218 Dixon St., and Mrs. Helen Konieczki, Chicago; 36 grandchildren and 51great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Leo (Pauline) Cychosz, Town of Sharon.
Her husband, her parents, seven sisters and three brothers preceded her in death.
Friends may call after 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Dzikoski Funeral Home. Funeral services are scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Peter's Catholic Church. Burial will follow beside her husband in Guardian Angel Cemetery.
Tuesday at 7 p.m., the Rosary Society of St. Peter's, of which she was a member, will recite a rosary, and a general rosary will be said at 8 p.m.

Schultz Sr. married Elizabeth Piotrowski, daughter of Anton Piotrowski, on 1 May 1926 at Milwaukee, Milwaukee Co, WI. George F. Schultz Sr. died on 28 May 1980 at Stevens Point, Portage Co, WI, at age 75.

George F. Schultz, 75, 2141 Water St., died Wednesday afternoon at. St. Michael's Hospital.

Mr. Schultz was born Feb. 22, 1905, in Rhinelander, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank Schultz. He moved to the town of Bevent with his family as a child and attended schools there.
He married Elizabeth Piotrowski on May 1, 1926, in Milwaukee. The couple lived in Milwaukee for a short time before moving to Stevens Point. He was employed at Point Bakery for 30 years until retiring in 1972.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Leonard, Greenfield, George, Galesburg, Ill., and Dennis, Batesville, Ark; six daughters, Mrs. Joseph (Irene) Rader, Fairview Village, Mrs. Doug (Lorraine) Simonis, Lake Tomahawk, Mrs. Dean (Margaret) Baltz, Rockford, Ill., Mrs. Harold (Dorothy) Hickey, Joliet, Ill., Mrs. Gregory (Elizabeth) Knich, West Allis, and Mrs. Jeffery (Nancy) Kopp, New Berlin; three brothers, Albin, Rosholt, Frank, 2796 N. County Trunk Y, and Wallace, 1635 College Ave; 34 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Charles Joseph Schultz died on 26 June 1969 at Stevens Point, Portage Co, WI, at age 62.

Charles Schultz

Charles Joseph Schultz, 62, Route 2, Stevens Point, was pronounced dead on arrival at St. Michael's Hospital after being strickened while riding in the family car on County Highway X Thursday afternoon.
Mr. Schultz was born Oct. 19, 1906, in Rhinelander, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Schultz. The family moved to the Town of Sharon where he resided until him marriage on Oct. 28, 1934 to Teresa (sp.) Kudronowicz at St. Ladislaus' Catholic Church in the Town of Bevent.
Mr. and Mrs. Schultz lived in Stevens Point after their marriage and then moved to Milwaukee. The couple returned to the Town of Dewey in 1946 and had lived there since.
Surviving are his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Ted (Elaine) Lasky, Milwaukee; five sons, Eugene, Menomonee Falls, LeRoy, Oak Creek, James, at home, and Kenneth and John of the Town of Dewey; four brothers, George and Wallace of Stevens Point, Albin, Bevent, and Frank, Dewey; four sisters, Mrs. John (Gertrude) Suski, Rotchild (sp.), Mrs. John (Bernice) Hintz, Bevent, Mrs. August (Isabelle) Hintz, Stevens Point, and Mrs. Henry (Helen) Miedziyewski of Chicago; and nine grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Torun, of whose Holy Name Society Mr. Schultz was a member. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
Friends may call after 2 p.m. Sunday at the Dzikoski Funeral Home. A rosary will be said by the Holy Name Society of St. Mary's at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, followed by a general rosary at 8 p.m.

     Frank Anton Schultz was born on 31 January 1920 at Torun, Portage Co, WI. He was the son of Frank F. Schultz and Helen Wrycha. Frank Anton Schultz married Tillie Theresa Hintz, daughter of John Hintz and Clementine Breske, on 17 October 1942 at Torun, Portage Co, WI.1 Frank Anton Schultz died on 2 December 2008 at Stevens Point, Portage Co, WI, at age 88.

Frank A. Schultz

Frank A. Schultz, 88, went to heaven to join his wife, Tillie, on Tuesday afternoon, Dec. 2, 2008, at Harmony Assisted Living, Stevens Point. Frank had previously resided at 2796 County Trunk Y, town of Dewey.

A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Mary Catholic Church, Torun, with the Rev. Wesley Janowski officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 4 at the Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home, Stevens Point, and from 9 a.m. until the time of service Friday morning at the church. He was born Jan. 31, 1920, in the town of Sharon, the son of the late Frank and Helen (Wrycza) Schultz. His marriage to Tillie Hintz took place Oct. 17, 1942, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Torun. She died Oct. 4, 1999. As a young man, Frank worked in the area cranberry marshes, and helped with the building of the DuBay Dam. He also worked for Lullabye Furniture Mfg. He and his wife farmed in the town of Sharon for many years. In 1960, they opened Schultz's Bar in the town of Dewey, which they ran for 46 years. In addition to running the bar, Frank also worked for the township of Dewey. He was treasurer for many years for St. Mary's Church, Torun. He enjoyed playing smear, gambling and spending time with family especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Survivors include two daughters, Linda (David) Sobish, Stevens Point, and Sandy (Dan) Palbrach, Rosholt; five grandchildren, Holly (Greg) Singer, Jenny (David) Todus, Aaron and Justine Palbrach and Zachery Zurawski; three great-grandchildren, Cory, Felicia and Spencer; and one sister, Bernice Hintz, Wittenberg.

He was preceded in death by one grandson, Jeremy Sobish, four brothers and three sisters.

     Albin Schultz was born on 8 January 1914 at Torun, Portage Co, WI. He was the son of Frank F. Schultz and Helen Wrycha. Albin Schultz married Catherine Woytasik on 11 November 1935 at St Ladislaus Catholic Church, Bevent, Marathon Co, WI. Albin Schultz died on 11 August 1984 at Rosholt, Portage Co, WI, at age 70.

Albin C Schultz, 70, 125 N Birch Road, Rosholt, died Saturday afternoon in St Michael’s Hospital. He had been a patient there for eight days and in ill health for two years.
Services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at St Ladislaus Catholic Church in Bevent. The Rev Bernard No wak will officiate. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Friends may call now at Dzikosli Funeral Home and from 9 a.m. Tuesday until services at the church. A general rosary will be said at 3 p.m. today and a family rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m.
Mr. Schultz was born January 8, 1914, in the town of Sharon, a son of the late Frank and Helen Schultz, and attended Portage County schools.
He was married to Catherine Woytasik November 11, 1935 at St Ladislaus Catholic Church, Bevent, and the couple settled in Bevent. He retired from farming in 1976.

     Wallace Lewis Schultz was born on 3 May 1931 at Torun, Portage Co, WI. He was the son of Frank F. Schultz and Helen Wrycha. Wallace Lewis Schultz married Gladys Vivian Liebe on 15 October 1955 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, Stevens Point, Portage Co, WI. Wallace Lewis Schultz died on 9 May 1990 at Stevens Point, Portage Co, WI, at age 59.

Mr. Schultz, 59, 1280 NorthPoint Drive, died Wednesday, at St Michael’s Hospital. He had been a patient there for one day.
He was born May 3, 1931, in the town of Sharon to the late Frank and Helen Schultz. He attended St Peter’s elementary school and P.J. Jacobs High School.
He entered the U.S. Army Jan. 8, 1952, in Milwaukee. He served as a corporal in the 3999th Medical Hospital Unit. He was discharged on Dec. 14, 1953 at Fort Sheridan, Ill.
He was married to the former Gladys Liebe on Oct. 15, 1955, at St Stanislaus Catholic Church. He worked at Lullabye Furniture Co. and was a member of American Legion Post No. 6
Survivors include one daughter, Debra Schultz, 6309 Oaklane Court; two grandchildren; one brother, Frank (Tillie), town of Dewy; and three sisters Gertrude (John) Suski, Rothschild, Bernice Hintz, Rosholt, and Isabelle Hint, Stevens Point.
He was preceded in death by several bothers and sisters.

Gertrude Schultz

     Gertrude Schultz was born on 8 August 1908 at Rhinelander, Oneida Co, WI. She was the daughter of Frank F. Schultz and Helen Wrycha. Gertrude Schultz married John Suske on 20 April 1926 at Torun, Portage Co, WI. Gertrude Schultz died on 28 January 1999 at Wausau, Marathon Co, WI, at age 90.

Gertrude H. Suske, 90, 113 Rothschild St., Rothschild, died Thursday Jan. 28, 1999 at Community Health Care Wausau Hospital.

She was born Aug 8, 1908, in Rhinelander, daughter of the late Frank and Helen (Wrycha) Schultz. She married John Suske April 20, 1926 in Torun, Wis. He preceded her in death Dec. 17, 1995. Gertrude had been employed at the former Marathon Battery, Wausau.

Survivors include two sons, Leroy (Rita) Suske, Schofield, and Ronald (Karen) Tomahawk; three daughters, Alice (George) Wallace, St. Petersburg, Fla. Pat (Vilas) Platta, Wausau, Carol (Don) Pelot, Schofield; one brother, Frank, Stevens Point, One sister, Bernice Hintz, Galloway; 20 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three daughters, four brothers and two sisters.

The funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 1, 1999, at St mark’s Catholic Church, Rothschild. The Rev A.L. Slowiak will officiate. Burial will be in the Guardian Gate of Heaven Cemetery, town of Kronenwetter. Hayden Funeral Home, Schofield is assisting the family with arrangements.

Mrs. Hintz was born March 8, 1912, in the town of Sharon, a daughter of the late Frank and Helen Schultz. She attended Sharon schools.
She was married to August Hintz Nov. 3, 1931 at St Mary’s Catholic Church in Torun. He died June 8, 1983.
After their marriage, the couple settled and farmed in the town of Bevent. They moved to Stevens Point in 1964.
Mrs. Hintz was as member of St Peter’s Rosary Society, Rose No 3, for 26 years; a member of the Third Order of St Francis; and a member of the National Catholic Society of Foresters, St Hedwig Court No 745.
She enjoyed cooking and baking.
Survivors include two sisters, Gertrude (John) Suske, Rothschild, and Bernice Hintz, Bevent; and one brother, Frank (Tille) Schultz, Stevens Point.
She was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister.

     Helen Schultz was born on 19 July 1922 at Town of Sharon, Portage Co, WI. She was the daughter of Frank F. Schultz and Helen Wrycha. Helen Schultz married Sylvester (Sally) Konieczki. Helen Schultz married Henry Miedziejewski. Helen Schultz died on 12 March 1982 at Chicago, Cook Co, IL, at age 59.

She was born July 19, 1922, in the town of Sharon, daughter of the late Frank and Helen Schultz. She grew up in the Stevens Point area, attending local schools.
She was married to Henry Miadzyjewske in Chicago. They lived in Chicago, where he worked as an electrician. Her husband survives.
Survivors besides her husband include four children; three brothers Wallace Schultz, 1636 College Ave., Frank Schultz, Highway Y, and Albin Schultz, Rosholt; three sisters, Mrs. Bernice Hintz, Rosholt, Mrs. Isabelle Hintz, 416 1st St., and Mrs. Gertrude Suske, Rothschild. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles and George.
