Augustinus 'August' Johaan Stoltz

     Augustinus 'August' Johaan Stoltz was born on 27 March 1863 at Szczukowo, Kartuzy, Gdansk, West Prussia.1 He was the son of Antoni Stolz and Mariann Patoka. Augustinus 'August' Johaan Stoltz married Frances Lukowicz, daughter of John Lukowicz and Mary Miszewska, on 26 November 1884 at Town of Hull, Portage Co, WI. Augustinus 'August' Johaan Stoltz died on 25 May 1946 at Stevens Point, Portage Co, WI, at age 83.1

August Stoltz

August Stoltz, age 83, who had been living with his son, Felix Stoltz, 426 Stanley street, died Saturday evening at 6:30 o'clock at St. Michael's hospital, where he had been a patient for a year.
Mr. Stoltz was born on March 27, 1863, in Poland and came to this country 60 years ago. He resided on a farm in the town of Dewey, which he sold in 1919 and came to Stevens Point. He was married at St. Mary's Catholic church at Torun to Miss Frances Lukowicz, who died in 1911.
Surviving are 11 children, Joe Stoltz of Nelsonville, Alois of Galloway, Mrs. Frank Szews of Birnamwood, Mrs. Anton Schultz, Felix and Anton of Stevens Point, and Mrs. Ed Demaros, Mrs. Frank Hamerski, Mrs. Paul Hamerski, Mrs. Frank Slowinski and Mrs. Don Shower of Milwaukee, a brother, Alois Stoltz of Hatley, 33 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 9 o'clock at St. Stanislaus' Catholic church and burial will follow in St. Mary's cemetery at Torun. The body is at the Prais funeral home where the rosary will be said this evening and Tuesday evening at 7:30 o'clock.
The Holy Name society of St. Stanislaus' church will meet at the funeral home this evening at 8 o'clock to say the rosary.

Funeral of Mr. Stoltz

Rev. Leo Trojanowski was the celebrant of a solemn requiem high mass Wednesday morning for August Stoltz, who died last Saturday evening. The services were held at 9 o'clock at St. Stanislaus Catholic church. Assisting at the mass were Rev. W.B. Polaczyk and Rev. Dennis Babilewicz, O.F.M. Burial followed in St. Mary's cemetery at Torun with Rev. Joseph Schulist officiating at the grave.
The pallbearers, grandsons of Mr. Stoltz were Barnaby Schultz, Carl Stoltz, Frank Hamerski, Jr., Alfred Hamerski, Leonard and Eugene Szews.

Frances Lukowicz

F, b. 1865, d. 9 March 1911
     Frances Lukowicz was born in 1865 at Town of Sharon, Portage Co, WI. She was the daughter of John Lukowicz and Mary Miszewska. Frances Lukowicz married Augustinus 'August' Johaan Stoltz, son of Antoni Stolz and Mariann Patoka, on 26 November 1884 at Town of Hull, Portage Co, WI. Frances Lukowicz died on 9 March 1911 at Town of Dewey, Portage Co, WI.1

Mrs. August Stoltz of Torun died Thursday night at 11 o'clock, of typhoid pneumonia.
She was 45 years old and leaves 11 children, all of whom are at home. The funeral will be held from the church at Torun Monday morning at 9 o'clock.

The funeral of Mrs. August Stoltz, who died at Torun Thursday, was held from St. Mary's church at Torun this morning. The pallbearers were all relatives of the deceased. A large number of friends and relatives attended the services, which were held at 9 o'clock by Rev. Kaspierski. She was buried on 13 March 1911 at St. Mary's Torun, Town of Dewey, Portage Co, WI.1

John Lukowicz

M, b. 25 April 1833, d. 8 February 1918
     John Lukowicz was born on 25 April 1833 at Kosobudy, Chojnice, Bydgoszcz, West Prussia. He was the son of Joseph Simon Lukowicz and Constantia Kosobuzska. John Lukowicz married Mary Miszewska. John Lukowicz died on 8 February 1918 at Stevens Point, Portage Co, WI, at age 84.1,2 He died on 8 February 1918 at Stevens Point, Portage Co, WI, at age 84.

John Lukowicz

John Lukowicz, the man who was injured in a fall on the stairs in the Joseph Bambenk home on Washington avenue Thursday morning, died at St. Michael's hospital at 10 o'clock Friday evening. His advanced age and weakened condition caused by his injury, together with pneumonia, with which he was afflicted, caused his death.
The deceased was born in German-Poland and came to this country in 1863. His exact age is not known, although it is believed that he was upwards of 70. He was a widower and is survived by one half-brother, Joseph Lukowicz, who resides at Stockton. Several grandchildren, children of August Stoltz of Stockton, also survive.
Mr. Lukowicz had been making his home with the Bambenek family recently. He was for many years a resident of the town of Hull. The funeral will be held in the town of Hull Monday.

Mary Miszewska

F, b. circa 1829, d. 20 December 1889
     Mary Miszewska was born circa 1829.1 She married John Lukowicz, son of Joseph Simon Lukowicz and Constantia Kosobuzska. Mary Miszewska died on 20 December 1889 at Town of Hull, Portage Co, WI. She was buried on 23 December 1889 at St. Casimir Cemetery, Town of Hull, Portage Co, WI.1

Antoni Stolz

M, b. 1823, d. 12 February 1896
     Antoni Stolz was born in 1823. He was the son of Sebastian Stoltz and Marianna Gostkowska. Antoni Stolz married Marianna Leschke. Antoni Stolz married Mariann Patoka on 16 January 1855. Antoni Stolz died on 12 February 1896.

     Joseph Simon Lukowicz was born on 27 October 1806 at Czarnow, Chojnice, Bydgoszcz, West Prussia. He was the son of Adam Lukowicz and Teresia (?) Joseph Simon Lukowicz married Constantia Kosobuzska on 12 February 1833 at Kosobudy, Chojnice, Bydgoszcz, West Prussia. Joseph Simon Lukowicz married an unknown person on 2 March 1840 at Czersk, Chojnice, Bydgoszcz, West Prussia. He died on 25 April 1878 at Polonia, Portage Co, WI, at age 71.

     Constantia Kosobuzska was born on 4 November 1807 at Kosobudy, Chojnice, Bydgoszcz, West Prussia. She married Joseph Simon Lukowicz, son of Adam Lukowicz and Teresia (?), on 12 February 1833 at Kosobudy, Chojnice, Bydgoszcz, West Prussia.
